FM 18 Head problem
 

So I purchased a FM 18 head. I needed the two handles because I'm going to mount two lanc controllers to each handle, so this head looked good. However, I didn't realize that the threads on the FM 18 are 3/8. The cheap sunpak tripod I have is a 1/4-20 after I removed the old head. I tried a small adapter, but the FM 18 wouldn't pan worth a crap and it would wobble. I must be missing something.... Or do I buy a new 3/8 tripod? If so, which ones are good at a reasonable rate.

Our recomendation for the FM18 head is a Provista 75 base with 75mm ball adapter. Normally we only sell this as a head and tripod kit, but you can call Sheilda at 800 645 2522x 3164 and I will speak to her about getting you just the tripod at a good price.
