Other tools for the camera bag
Pop Photo magazine has a feature on 11 everyday items for the camera bag, http://www.popphoto.com/gallery/11-everyday-items-belong-your-camera-bag?image=11#container] But they are a bit too weird, these are items not found in camera store. but I carry these:
I carry along with pencil and paper and lens tissue.
- Swiss pocket knife
- extra battery for camera and flash
- garbage bag to store camera bag in heavy rain, or dust.
- cable release
- Polarizing filter/neutral density filter
- white card (could be back of notebook.)
- small flash light
- model release
- business cards
- ear plugs (I do some industrial work and/or rock concerts)
- Air blower to blow dust off lens, viewfinder, sensor.
- Aspirin
- white handkerchief to soften strobe light, and in case runny nose. Could alternate with pocket size pack of paper tissue.
-rubber bands to hold handkerchief or index card on strobe, or keep business cards together.
Bag is starting to fill up, better stop. Am i forgetting anything?

Sounds like the extra bits and pieces in mine. Add in mini-carabiners (I've got them hanging off many of the D and O rings on my various Domke bags; in fact they've replaced the plastic fittings connecting the strap to the bag on my biggest ones), cable wraps and Sharpies (black and silver).

I would add a hoodman loupe, Epson p3000(for when Im away for more than a day), backpack strap, three chopsticks- used to hold still small plants in the wind, and a small pair of binocs!
And of coarse a pen and a small moleskine!

I keep small stuff in a Maxpedition organizer. My leatherman Wave is in that too, with the accessory tool bits.
I would be lost without my gps, so that is in there too.
The organizer makes it easy to change bags without forgetting essentials.

My bag has similar extras, too. I add to that battery chargers for double A batteries, a lighter (you never know) and glucose tablets. Sadly, no more pocket knife due to the TSA. I took it out because I fly with my F-2 too much. I think there is a Leatherman that is TSA friendly, though (read: no blades). I think that will be a welcome home present to my brand new F-2 (my second F-2 and 3d Domke bag).

Hey guys,
Looking for a small mini messenger bag, thats light, and small but can fit an ipad, and a Sony NEX-7 with two lenses.
I was looking at domke, but they are so small and so expensive, I was looking at the domke like material.
Saw a Lowepro Terraclime, but the 100 version is like 90 bucks.
Any suggestions?
