The most important factor to consider when selecting a Steadicam is the weight of the camera and accessories you wish to use with the rig. Using a Steadicam for a load outside its recommended weight range will result in poor performance.

How to Determine the Load:

  1. Remove all batteries from your camera. The Steadicam battery will provide power to your camera.
  2. Place the camera and all accessories you intend to use on a scale and determine the weight.
  3. Use the Chart below to link to the Steadicam(s) that can be used for your desired load.
