For travel or candids, in the home or studio, the Traverse TR684C-36 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Dual Locking Ball Head from Davis and Sanford is a versatile, lightweight support for DSLR, mirrorless, and point and shoot cameras.
This kit includes a carbon fiber set of legs and a dual-action ball head, which combine to weigh only 4 lb while supporting up to 18 lb. The 4-section twist-lock legs extend to a maximum height of 68" and can be lowered to a minimum height of 9.5". Additionally, each leg can be set to 3 separate leg angles for balancing the tripod on uneven surfaces. The legs utilize rubber feet that feature integrated metal spikes for securing the legs in sand, dirt, or snow. One leg features a cushioned foam grip and the center column includes a ballast hook for stabilizing the tripod with additional weight.
The included ball head has a dual-action design that features one lock for ball movement and a separate lock for pan. The head also features degree markings along the panning axis and an Arca-type quick release, with one included plate. A bubble level has also been added to the ball head for increased positioning accuracy.
For ease of transport, the tripod folds down to 19" and includes a carrying case. A short center column is also included to help facilitate low angle and macro shooting.

Love their tripods. Sturdy, light, and stable.
This is the fourth David and Sanford tripod and monopod that I've purchased and I am not disappointed, this tripod has done everything that I've asked it to do, supporting my Canon 80D with a battery grip along with my heaviest lens, my 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM. It is a strong but lightweight tripod at an incredible value. Cameta Camera surprised me with super fast shipping. You can't go wrong with this one.
This Tripod checks off every box plus even more. I will start by saying that this is the only tripod i've used,i have nothing to compare it to. here's the feature set: -> included ballhead. this ball head works fantastic and ive had no issues with it . i have another one but never saw the need to swap it out. it even includes spirit level on it for straight shots. ->Build quality this tripod is built super strong.it feels solid and sturdy. it is very light even with the ballhead. it folds to such a small size its no issue for me during a commute. It has a gear loop to hang gear on underneath the centre column to keep the camera stable during windy days. -> the feet,OH THE FEET the feet are adjustable for indoor and outdoor. the have indoor pads that can be ******* in to reveal spikes for outdoor use in rocks/sand muddy conditions. this is probably my favourite feature. -> the legs the locking mechanisms are easy to use with one hand while the other holds the rest of the tripod. legs deploy quickly and lock jsut as fast. from compact folded position to fully set up will take about 8-10 seconds based on my usage. -> centre column the traverse comes with not one but two centre columns. a short one and a long one. i suspect the shorter one can be used for low to the ground macro shots. i've never used this myself. -> it comes with a carry case! that's reflective for safety this tripod also includes two of the legs covered in foam near the top. not sure what thats for. maybe someone else can shed light on that. Bottom line. it's impossible to beat the amount of features this tripod has even at a much higher price. Someone recommended this tripod to me im glad they did and now i recommend it to anyone who wants to have a life filled with photography.
