“My trick? With its design and lack of center-stem when fully extended, you can contract the legs in to a small, single footprint, creating a very balanced monopod. Often times tripods are not as flexible as you need, but this little guy doesn’t have that problem with that center-stem design, as it seldoms blocks the legs from achieving the angle you desire.” “As a backpacker and photographer I know that each ounce counts- so the 2.6 pound Traverse is the way to go when you leave your house or studio!”
“I was very impressed with the overall design, features and function of the Davis & Sanford ProElite tripod with 525 Fluid Head. With the exception of the plastic leg clips (all but one are lost now) the design and manufacture of this kit seems to be made very well. Granted, it’s not quite at the level of my Sachtler but it’s also less than half the price, and I’d have no problem taking this out on any location shoot and depending on it to perform well for me. I’d highly recommend this tripod to anyone looking for a good, solid and affordable video tripod for most any size camcorder or DSLR rig.”
“Tiffen has introduced two brand new tripods from the Davis & Sanford brand. “As their names suggest, the Davis & Sanford CrossWise and Traverse are adventure-engineered tripods designed to give DSLR, mirrorless and compact camera shooters the flexibility as well as the freedom to achieve that perfect shot.”
“Tripods are one of the most traditional camera stability equipment used by professional videographers. Their portability, ease of use and wide array of applications have made them a versatile tool. Tiffen Davis & Sanford with their All Terrain Pod and FM18 fluid head have incorporated modern materials and techniques to make this traditional piece of equipment even better.”
“The Davis & Stanford Magnum XG with the FX13 head is an absolute beast of a tripod. It’s sturdy secure and some very handy features on it that you may not expect on a tripod. This is definitely more than three legs and screw. I was lucky enough to take this tripod out in the field and use it shooting on my recent South West trip, where high winds and close proximity to rough waters truly tested my faith in the Davis & Stanford Magnum XG.”
“The Davis and Sanford Fusion 3-Section Tripod can support an 8lb load while the unit itself only weighs 3.7lbs. Its constructed out of high-strength plastic combined with lightweight aluminum to make it strong and solid. …But what really makes it unique is that it employs a fluid head, which makes it ideal for videographers.”
