The Tiffen Company Demos Latest Steadicams at Cine Gear Expo

HAUPPAUGE, NY- May 29, 2019 – The Tiffen Company, the leading manufacturer of imaging accessories for the consumer/professional imaging and the motion picture and broadcast television industries, will be offering hands-on demonstrations of its newest top-of-the-line Steadicam system, the Steadicam M-2, and the award-winning new Steadicam Steadimate-S, at Cine Gear Expo 2019 – Booth #25.

“Surrounded by filmmaking history on the Paramount Studios lot, Cine Gear provides us with the ideal setting to demonstrate to attendees the latest in our Steadicam line of camera stabilizers,” said Andrew Tiffen, SVP of Marketing, The Tiffen Company. “Attending creators will have the opportunity to test drive our just announced Steadicam M-2 and Steadimate-S, as well as have the opportunity to talk tech about other products for filmmakers, such as filters and lighting, at the Tiffen booth throughout Cine Gear and continuing after at our Open House and Steadicam Operator Expo on June 2nd.”

Steadicam M-2

The new Steadicam M-2 is the most modular and integrated rig ever developed with the Volt™ technology built directly into the top stage and gimbal. This integration makes the M-2 remarkably compact and lightweight without sacrificing rigidity and performance. Mix and match component options give operators the ability to customize each rig to their exact needs or to fit production requirements. In addition, many of the components of the M-2 are interchangeable with the Steadicam M-1, expanding the flexibility of the full M-Series of rigs. Test Drives are available to operators in select markets and special financing deals make ownership easier than ever.

Steadicam Steadimate-S

Making its first Cine Gear appearance, the new Steadicam Steadimate-S takes single-handed stabilizers to a new level of performance by incorporating a body-worn stabilizer to allow for comfortable low mode operation and full manual panning, as well as effortless z-axis stabilization. The Steadimate-S provides operator comfort and safety while also increasing the potential lengths of takes and total shooting time. Affordably priced, the Steadimate-S makes a great entry point for filmmakers and operators interesting in learning the basics of Steadicam operation and taking their content to the next level.

NEW NATural ND Graduated Filters

New for the show are the Tiffen NATural ND Graduated Filters. Designed to pair with the award-winning NATural ND solid filters, these full spectrum grads block visible and IR light from 0.3-1.5 (1-5 stops) across the frame to balance light disparity in the scene and create consistency in the final image.

Additional products for filmmakers to be demonstrated at the Tiffen booth include the full range of Diopters, a wide selection of classic diffusion filters for image customization, the Steadicam M-1 rig, the game-changing monopod – the Steadicam Air, the Steadicam Volt handheld stabilizer, and from Lowel the TotaLED daylight source as well as the variable color temperature Fresnel Pro Power Bi-Color LED.

Tiffen Open House & Steadicam Operator Expo

Following Cine Gear Expo, Tiffen will host an Open House & Steadicam Operator Expo on Sunday, June 2nd, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Tiffen Technical Center located at 2815 Winona Ave., Burbank, CA. The Open House Event will be catered with complimentary food and drinks by In-N-Out.
