Solid Neutral Density (ND filter)
These filters reduce the amount of light passing through the camera lens without changing the color of the scene. They are especially useful in bright light conditions to help prevent overexposure. Neutral Density filters also allow proper exposure at a wider lens opening for reduced depth-of-field to highlight a key subject by making the foreground and/or background out of focus.

Ive been a professional shooter for almost 30 years. Value for money these inexpensive Tiffin filters are terrific. I have tried other inexpensive ND filters with miserable results. I have paid much more and been less happy. The TIFFIN works perfect. Nice glass. Good quality. Amazing price frankly. A+
For awhile I was wondering how some photographers and videographers were able to get Bokeh effects in their video and photos in outdoors and well lit environments. I found out their secrets were Neutral Density filters! Since I purchased this ND filter and used it for photos and videos, I am now addicted. The photos and videos still came out clear and colors were great! I will not hesitate to purchase more from this brand!
If you are not using Neutral Density filters, you are missing out on an easy, simple and inexpensive means to improve your photography (and videography if you're shooting DSLR). ND filters allow you to shoot with a wide aperture without over-exposing your images. While you can stop down your lens to compensate for bright lighting, you will increase your depth of field and loose the "bokeh" -background blur - of the wider aperture. An ND filter allows you to shoot with aperture open, maintain a shallow depth of field (desirable for video) keep the details in the highlights and preserve a nice color balance. ND filters can cost $100+ but this Tiffen does a great job a fraction of the cost. I use it for still and video images and I'm very satisfied with the results. At this price, it is a good starting point and my just be enough for you now and in the future.
This Filter is amazing. If you like clouds it is a must have. You'll get a very good filter, Made in USA, clear, crispy images for a excellent price.
