SHI-HYOUNG JEON Chooses Golden Glow 1/4 & 1/2 for Hyundai Glovis Spot
August 27, 2025

“...I used the filter to add a subtle, warm glow effect to the highlights.” SHI-HYOUNG JEON (전시형), Cinematographer
The Concept: “As a lighthouse illuminates the ocean, Glovis as a logistics company, brings light and logistics to the entire world. The film begins with an opening sequence of a lighthouse beam shining across the dark vast ocean, followed by scenes of factories and logistics operations.
To bring this lighthouse-light concept visually, I used warm-toned moving LED lights in various parts of the scene. We wanted the light to have a slightly broken-up effect—almost like it was diffused by moisture—which is why I decided to use the Golden Glow filter. We mostly used the 1/4 and 1/2 versions. Since many subjects were smooth, metallic surfaces and the moving lights were hard LED lights, I used the filters to add a subtle, warm glow effect to the highlights.” SHI-HYOUNG JEON, Cinematographer

Round Table Lunches
Each month a unique collection of filmmakers and friends meet at Tiffen Burbank’s roundtable lunch to mingle, munch and catch up regarding the film community happenings of the day. There’s no agenda and no telling which direction the conversation will go or who will add their unique personality to the scene. But it’s always warm and welcoming and reminds us of why we choose to be a part of the production community.
