Glimmerglass is a line of diffusion filters that produces a soft clean halation around practical and specular light sources, while keeping an apparent sharpness on the overall image. On close ups, the apparent sharpness and fine detail is kept as the effect of the filter lowers contrast while softly rolling into the shadow area. This low contrast affect moderately mutes bright colors. This makes the lower end of the glimmer glass diffusion line produce a non-destructive or invasive look.
Even at heavier densities, the filter never becomes overly powerful in its spread of halation. The Glimmerglass series of filters also has a benefit of sparkling when viewed, which can add reassurance to your talent when shooting beauty; that way you can fully concentrate on the look of your shot.

It's a beautiful filter that makes subjects glow. I had fun shooting a landscape with it
A lot of DPs use other filters to bloom highlights and soften skin. However, that look is everywhere. Glimmerglass has a unique look and people will notice. They may not know what it is but they will often ask, “What lens did you use - gorgeous?” As I got older and moved into doing more post production color, I could spot Glimmerglass a mile a way - it’s all in the way it keeps eyes pleasantly sharp while softening and blooming in an original manner.
Exceptional filter. I have both the 1 and 3 Glimmerglass filters to enable capturing the feeling in camera that I'm looking for. I use it primarily for night photography in the city, and the light bloom it creates while keeping details intact is truly top-notch. This filter most definitely gives an edge in the look of city lights and light trails.
Really enjoying this filter. Had recently purchases a Fuji X-Pro3 and after having been shooting a lot of 35mm film I wanted to try and get my digital shots closer to my film. The filter added some additional depth and drama to my images, also going to use it shooting video. It's not available in 43mm (for my Fuji 35mmF2) but I got a close size and bought an adapter. Works great. Also great if you want all your photos to look like scenes from Close Encounters. :)
