STEADICAM VOLT® Honored with Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences 2025 Scientific and Technical Award
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025 the Steadicam Volt® received an Academy Plaque at the 2025 Scientific and Technical Award ceremony, recognizing the Volt’s contribution to the movie making process. This achievement was made possible by our entire team here at Tiffen and to the thousands of Operators and other filmmakers around the world who choose to help tell stories with Steadicam. Tiffen's Steadicam Volt® revolutionizes inertial stabilization with its advanced multi-axis motorized design, creating artificial inertia and simulated friction while providing adjustable tactile feedback. Different modes allow the operator to alter the physical feel of the rig. The Volt empowers filmmakers to achieve dynamic shots with more complex camera movement while maintaining a stable roll axis. |

2025 ASC Award-winners receive Tiffen Viewing Glass
To celebrate the outstanding cinematographers honored at this year’s ASC awards, Tiffen presented each winner with a Viewing Glass featuring a Tiffen Natural ND 3.0 FSND optic, (equivalent to a 10 Stop ND). Designed for observing cloud movement and bright sources without eye strain, we hope these tools will be of service to their new owners!
Packs the House at NAB 2025
Tiffen’s own Bridger Eberhart dazzled and inspired the audience with a Steadicam Axis Demo on April 7 at the NAB Cine Central zone in Las Vegas Nevada. Powered by Academy Award-winning Volt Technology, Steadicam Axis is the first Steadicam system to offer Volt technology for roll, tilt, and pan axes, providing increased stability and control loads up to 20 pounds. It helps operators perform professional Steadicam moves in an incomparably short time. Eberhart put the Canon EOS C400 through its paces in both standard and low mode, then turned the tables and let audience members suit up. The response? “It was so much easier than I imagined to create steady shots.”
