Tiffen's 138mm Variable ND in Matte Box-Mountable Rubber Donut for 143mm Openings provides approximately six stops of variable neutral density control without taking up any filter tray space. The variable ND is incorporated within a rubber donut that fits into a wide variety of matte boxes with a 143mm rear opening. It features a minimum of two and a maximum of eight stops of light attenuation.

The variable ND has no impact on the field of view that a standard donut that accepts a 138mm filter has, so there is no change to your workflow or shooting style. It features evenly spaced index marks from two to eight stops, but these are not calibrated marks and do not indicate amount of attenuation. A 114mm threaded rear ring accepts ARRI R2 compatible threaded reduction rings. The rubber donut is compatible with matte boxes from ARRI, Tilta, Movcam, Vocas, and Bright Tangerine.

Up to six stops of VND (Variable Neutral Density), with a minimum of two stops going up to eight stops (ND .6 to ND 2.4)

Fits directly into select rod-mounted matte boxes with a 143mm rear port

Rubber donut is supplied with a 114mm light prevention ring, which accepts ARRI R2 compatible threaded reduction rings

The outside of the ring features non-calibrated indexed markings for minimum and maximum settings
