Functions very well.
I bought one of these bags in 1976 as a criminal investigator in the army. I recall Jim was working at the Philadelphia Enquirer(?) and I saw the ad in that paper. I used this same bag for over 43 years as an investigator. I gave the bag to one of my proteges for him to "carry on" with. Sorry I did that. The best bag that a person can buy and use.
I had a Domke bag years ago, it was about 10 years old when I gave it to my son-in-law. He had it for another 10+ years. Best bag I ever had. When I needed a new bag I tried to cheap out - wasn't worth it. The Domke bag is built for hard use and will last for years
I'm a huge fan of Domke, their bags are top notch, well made, and should last forever if well cared for. I use this bag for my Sony A7R3 system and don't find the size wanting, I can cram in the body, 24-105, 100-400, a few primes, rocket blower, filters, battery chargers and be set for a long trip with ease. This is a 5 star bag all the way around...EXCEPT for one little feature that is a constant disappointment. The latches that secure the top of the bag to the d-rings are made in such a way that pressing them to release the clasp causes a gap between the metal where your finger is applying pressure. When you release the clasp, more often than not, the closing metal will pinch your fingertip...I've actually gotten a pretty good nick out of my fingers on multiple occasions. It's disappointing that I have to apply such care every time I open the bag, and would have preferred a different latching mechanism. Other than that, I would highly recommend this and other Domke bags.
