The fabric produces a unique distressed and weathered look right from the start.
The RuggedWear classic bags feature high-quality, weather-tough, durable cotton canvas that is treated with special non-solvent, environmentally friendly waxes to afford the fabric a lifelong resistance to inclement weather. The special formula allows the fabric to breathe while the waxes produce a unique, timeless, weathered, distressed patina finish. By using the included refinishing wax, bags can be restored to its original finish quickly and easily.
All the great features of the popular Domke F-5XA in a bag to fit today's popular digital SLR cameras. Durable, water-resistant breathable cotton canvas bag with convenient pockets for cell phone and MP3 player and shoulder strap.
Ideal For: Cameras, lenses, cell phone, MP3 player and accessories. Great for business and travel necessities.
Note: DO NOT MACHINE WASH your RuggedWear Bag! A periodic cleaning with a hose, damp cloth or soft scrub brush for heavy dirt is all that is needed. Your shower works equally as well. Sometimes a mild bar or flake soap (not detergent) or even Saddle soap will remove stubborn stains. Bare areas can be refinished with our RuggedWear Wax refinishing ointment and left to absorb for a day or so (a hair dryer will speed the process) which will restore the wax finish.

Perfect size for my a6000 a little of lenses and some travel accessories. I love the waved canvas finish.
It is a well-made bag for light-duty gears. Please note that this is a small bag. It is best for a simple mirrorless system. A Nikon FM2 body and two lenses is as much as it can take. A small box of wax is included for canvas touch-up. 2013/07/24: I felt that I need to reduce the score to a 3-star. The problem I have found is the material is really quite flimsy. I left a Scotch tape dispenser in it this morning and placed the bag in the car. I really did not move the bag much at all. But to my dismay, the plastic sawtooth on the tape dispenser cut through the bag! I admit it's not smart to place sharp object in a bag like this. But I really expect a bit more from a "rugged" bag.
After researching camera bags for hours (wanting to only purchase the best for my new Canon SL1 and not have any regrets), I was excited to buy the Domke F-5XB. AWESOME quality – you will be surprised. I love the way it feels, the size of the bag, and the attention to detail. It is perfect for my Canon SL1 with lens attached. I also carry the charger, cables, extra battery and cards in the bag with plenty of room to spare (but not too much, I didn't want it wiggling around. Perfect for a 1-lens SLR photographer who doesn't want a ton of bulky equipment, but wants a professional feeling and functioning bag.
I have a Fujifilm x100s and purchased the Domke F-5xb as a carrying bag. Simply put, it is close to ideal. There is sufficient space for the camera and accessories. Construction of the bag is quite durable and the quality is typical of Domke. This bag was money well spent for me.
I needed a small day bag for when I go out and cover food festivals, breweries, and wineries for my food blog. I use prime lenses and while I usually get by with the 50mm on my D7000, I often wish I had the fisheye or the 85 macro with me. This bag, even though it is even smaller than I imagined, holds the camera and all three lenses. Usually the camera is around my neck and the other two lenses rest in the bag. The construction seems well made and durable and it looks stylish in the brown color. The small size is an advantage at food festivals as it gets quite crowded sometimes and a large bag keeps bumping into things. By the way, the label is not as intrusive as some people find and the velcro is not as loud as some complain about.
